Angelica Courel joined Balsera Communications in August 2017. As the newest member to the firm, Angelica serves as a Junior Account Executive to the public relations practice. In her role, she supports media relations and social media initiatives for various clients including the Miami Beach Fraternal Order of Police (MB FOP), the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA), Immigration Partnership, Coalition (IMPAC) and Motivational Coaches of America (MCUSA), the Jose Milton Foundation, and others.
Angelica attended Florida State University where she graduated with a degree in Media Communications Studies focused on public relations and English. During her time at Florida State, she coordinated public relations and digital initiatives for the Global Peace Exchange (GPE), a non-profit student-run international development organization dedicated to creating relationships and grassroots work opportunities FSU students with non-governmental organizations.
Additionally, she worked as a public relations intern for Moore Communications Group, a nationally ranked integrated communications firm that offers a mix of more than 12 services including branding, public relations and advertising as well as specialty services including advocacy, digital, social and U.S. Hispanic communications.
Angelica is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is fully bilingual in English/ Spanish.
